What does your wedding ring say about you?
Wedding rings are considered a very sweet symbol for union between two individuals in love. So choosing it should be meticulously planned. Today, I thought I’d share a little history with you about where this tradition of exchanging rings came from. It is said that the use of rings has been brought down in history from the ancient Egyptians.
A small piece was braided together around the finger of the male and female being wed together as a symbol of a ‘never ending’ bond between them. Sweet don’t you think? A circle of love, that never ends.Although this tradition is older than over a thousand years, but in a nutshell it captures the essence of weddings even now: of love, harmony and togetherness.
The tradition of men’s wedding bands, however, came after the world war II when the men felt they needed to show little bit more commitment to their wives by wearing the wedding band forever. These days the tradition has turned to be quite fashionable. Men of this era want to look smart at all times, and I must say this is quite a nice practice. Like their better-halves, they also carefully select on the ring they will be wearing on their finger for eternity.
Unlike the engagement ring, wedding ring is what they are going to wear at all times, so I say this begs for a sound decision. While some men can opt for a simple looking ring, other men, mostly risk-takers, opt for unique wedding rings. Unique in the sense that it would bring out their individuality. Something that only they represent and no one else.
SO, what could it be?
While silver, diamond and gold is what is typically associated with wedding rings, modern men have a whole lot more at their disposal than just these.Platinum and Titanium wedding bands are all the rage in these times. They are stunning for one, and exquisitely designed. You can have them custom made for yourself with whatever you would want engraved because that would really make it all the more unique.
Titanium rings are not just famous for their magnificent appeal, but they are exceptionally durable yet very light. You won’t feel it around your finger which makes it a great reason to become your wedding band.
Don’t be a bore, and choose the wedding ring that defines you.
Tell me what do you want your wedding ring to say about you?
